Update from India
_Mr. Buduhan A trip to India: perspectives from one student's travels By Roland Buduhan on Wednesday, November 12, 2008
I received a message from our student in India. Here are some highlights from the message:

Greetings from India!

Thank you Mr. Buduhan, for taking this initiative and for helping me stay connected with my classmates back in Canada.
I am very excited to be here in India and meet all of my relatives after 4 years!

After a tiring flight of 28 hours, we finally reached the New Dehli airport.

The next day we had to get all our luggage un-packed. I thought the day went by so quickly.

What major things have been happening at school while I have been here? I am having a terrific time here in New Dehli and I hope you are all also having a good time.

Do you have any questions about India or New Delhi that you would like to ask? Post your comments here!

United States of America elect new president!
_Mr. Buduhan Internet awareness By Roland Buduhan on Thursday, November 06, 2008

Our neighbours to the south, the United States of America, have elected a new president: Barrack Obama.

This is a historic event for that country, as it is the first time an African-American person has been elected as the American president.

What do you think of the American election results? Did you follow the campaign and see all the television advertisements?

Did you know that Mr. Obama used technology a lot during his campaign? His team used text messages, webpages, blogs, and even Youtube to get people to vote.

Electronic Books: Is this the future of reading?
_Mr. Buduhan Cool Toys By Roland Buduhan on Wednesday, October 29, 2008
I love to read. Now, I can carry around hundreds of books in a device called an electronic book reader. It is like an iPod, only instead of storing music, it stores books. Hundred of them.

At first glance, it looks like an ordinary old-fashioned book, but upon closer inspection, you will see it is an electronic book reader. An electronic book reader uses "electronic ink." This is a computer display that mimics the appearance of real ink on paper.

Unlike typical computer displays like LCD screens, e-ink causes no eye-strain, can be viewed in direct sunlight, and uses very little energy. This technology has created a new platform for reading electronic books. Similar to how an MP3 player stores music files, a handheld electronic book reader can store thousands of e-books, text documents, RSS feeds, and pi ...

Audio Podcast about new video games
_Mr. Buduhan Video games By Roland Buduhan on Wednesday, October 29, 2008
An audio podcast is a useful way of sharing information. To make an audio podcast, you record yourself using a computer. You then save the file and share it on a website like a blog. It's called a "podcast" because people can download the file onto their computers or iPods and listen to it anywhere.

I created a podcast about new video games. You can listen to it if you are interested in video games. Nintendo has created a new version of the "DS Lite" called the DSi.

You can listen to my podcast about the Nintendo DSi by clicking here.

Sony has created a new version of the PSP (Portable Play Station). It's called the PSP 3000.

You can listen to my podcast about
