The Pattern of Nature

There’s a large storm thundering in the sky,

its like the beat of an enormous drum.

Then a lightning bolt reaches for the ground,

almost  grabbing the trees with its long arms.

Everything below trembles,

from the furious storm.

There’s a strong wind yelling to the trees as they swing to and fro.       Leaves are diving to the ground.

Another lightning bolt reaches for the earth.

This time it grasps a tree causing it to scream as it bursts into flames.

The flames dance and prance as they jet towards the city.

The flames reach up to the clouds,

and the smoke speeds in the sky.

When the flames reach the city the city starts to burn.

As the last building falls to the ground,

moaning and crashes against the floor of the earth,

it makes such an enormous noise that one would never be able to hear again. Sadly this pattern has to be repeated,

but  years later  new life can grow,

like a tree.
