A Dream
The turtle shell screeched as the bird’s beak cracked its shiny shell.
A long tunnel flashed into his mind.
He raced towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
He jumped into the light.
He saw his most beloved place in the world: the beach where he was born.
He looked around; clouds were lying lazily in the sky
Trees rustled their leaves as the breeze whispered to them.
Everything was tranquil.
Birds sang as he drifted over them.
Then he dove towards the ground.
Bracing himself, for a splat that he prayed would surely come.
He looked up,
His happiness lit up in a burst of flame.
A scene of utter chaos met his eyes.
Animals of all sort bound by chains as slaves.
A red bear reached off the ground.
The Bear pulled back his hand, about to strike.
He awoke; it was all, just a dream.
