| Art is something that is a language of its own and can not be expressed by the limitations of English.<br><br>So basically, it's applied creative expression? Just like love is applied hormone imbalances? |

| art is everything.... everything around us is some form of art whether it is an essay, a poem, a sculpture, a drawing, anything... it is all art to different people. Art is a form of expression, someones ideas went into everything that surrounds us today and they expressed it through the items they created. I really cant think of how to word this properly so thats all i got.... |

| Art is anything that is put together creatively in order to express something that we cannot say with just words. I believe that art has to mean something to the artist, but will not necessarily mean the same thing, or even anything, to other people. |

| Art is art.<br>Art is expressing yourself. <br>Art is to be critisized.<br>Art is putting yourself out there by expressing yourself and letting yourself be critisized.<br>I dont really know how to put it. This, unfortunately, is the best i can do. Maybe not. Maybe I could try harder. But I'm not very good at disciplining myself. |

| Art is whatever you want it to be. You can't explain it in words, you just have to do what you feel and what you want to express. The definition of art is impossible to find because art is about expressing things that you can't define. so how the devil would you define it?.You can merely give hints and tidbits but never the complete definition.Sooo... Art is life viewed from different perspectives, in a way. that is why it is so interesting and that is why you can not copy other peoples art and know exactly what the person who created it was thinking. But you can have a brand new takes on the art making it that much more exciting and interesting and lovely. Art is whatever you want it to be. |

| art is ... really really hard to define. Its a creative expression of feeling of emotion. Or at least that's how i personally define it. But there are also people who make art that is visually appealing but without much meaning behind it - like artists who paint landscapes with the intention of simply capturing the beauty of the landscape and who are unconcerned with expressing thenselves in their work. Or artists who paint comissioned portraits with the purpose of accuratly representing their subject. This often requires a large amount of technical skill, but not necesarily a big idea, or a deeper meaning behind the art. However, in my opinion this is obviously still art. So art is something more than creative expression. Then there are those artists who express themselves in whichever medium they choose without much consideration to the visual appeal... so i guess art should either have a big concept or be expressive of some emotion, or be visually appealing... or both i suppose. but if a piece of "art" has neither, then id be unsure as to whether it is really art... |

| I think that art is best described as the ability to express ourselves with what cannot be described with words. Sometimes, we are overcome with such a huge range of emotions that we don't know how to release it all, so we paint it on a canvas, or create a song to reflect those emotions. <br> Art also gives us an escape from reality; from any distractions or stressful issues we have in life. With art, you can be as free as you want because there are no limits and no borders; save the ones you set yourself. <br> Art is creativity in a tangible form.<br> |
